Levaquin (levofloxacin) is a prescription fluoroquinolone antibiotic that can be used by people diagnosed with any of the following conditions: infection of the bladder, kidneys, prostate, sinuses and skin, as well as pneumonia and bronchitis caused by bacteria. If you are taking any of the following medications your health care provider needs to know about it in advance: blood thinners, insulin or diabetes medication, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) or oral steroids. Vaginal discharge, nightmares, headache, nausea, diarrhea or restlessness, insomnia, muscle pain, dizziness, constipation, mild skin itching and some other symptoms are a few mild side effects that you may experience when you start taking this medicine. If they persist or become bothersome make sure you report them to your health care provider.
